Writing & Editing Services for Business Owners
Are you…
So busy running your business that your writing projects are unfinished, half-started, or stuck in draft mode?
Losing valuable time staring at a blank screen while pushing your big writing projects to the bottom of your to do list?
Sending out emails or launching offers only to spot spelling errors, old dates, or broken links after the fact?
Struggling to polish books, ebooks, guides, or courses, especially when you’re asking people to pay for them?
If any of this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place.
Here at Elm Tree Words, I help small businesses and solopreneurs turn messy, unfinished, or inconsistent writing into polished professional content you’ll be confident and proud to share.
How I Can Help
My services are perfect if:
You have a website, ebook, course, or guide that needs an update, edit, or fresh set of eyes.
You know quality writing and presentation is crucial for your business, but it’s hard to find the time or motivation.
You want everything, formatting, style, grammar, and structure, to look professional, polished, consistent, and error-free.
You have a big writing project you want to start (and finish) without the stress of doing it yourself, or doing it alone.
You created or ‘dumped’ content into ChatGPT (or similar), and you’re not sure you can trust what it’s created.
Common projects I undertake:
Formatting: line spacing, font size and style, page numbering, headings, margins, etc…
Editorial consistency: spelling, capitalisation, abbreviations, hyphenations, etc…
Grammar and clarity: word choice, punctuation, readability, and flow grammatical errors
Defining acronyms, abbreviations, and initialisms
Ensuring what ChatGPT (or similar) creates is correct and matches your brand and writing style
Correct labelling of tables, figures, graphs, images, and references
Checking links and updating dates
Setting up templates, forms, and surveys
Other writing or editing tasks

Let’s Get Started!
Ready to explore how I can help?
Send an email at hello@elmtreewords.com or get in touch with me via my Contact page.
Good to Know
I work in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Google Docs, Google Forms, Adobe, SurveyMonkey, Qualtrics, Canva, and more.
It’s fastest if I can work with your original files and (if needed) access your website backend.
We’ll agree in advance on how involved you want to be. Some clients love frequent check ins and track changes, others prefer a hands-off, just do it for me approach.
My job is to make your work the most polished, professional, and error-free version it can be. At the end of the day however, what you publish and share remains your final decision and responsibility.
Writing an Ebook or Course?
Let’s be honest, you’ve got ideas, and drafts, and outlines of books, courses, guides, surveys, etc…
You want to write an ebook, but don’t know where to start
You’ve started something (or a few different things), but haven’t actually finished them
You’re working on a signature course with workbooks, slides, e-guides, etc… and need support keeping it consistent, on point, and as close to perfect and error-free as possible
You just want someone else to do it!
Having an accountability partner or someone do this for you can be more efficient, economical, and see it actually get done. Contact me here to discuss.
*If you don’t have a style guide, or know what one is, that’s ok! I’ve got one here. Trust me. It may take a bit to get it set up, but once established, they save you heaps of time and money in the long run.
